Ms. Frizzle explores the World of Water

Water Department partners with the San Diego Natural History Museum

Ms. Frizzle(tm) and Scholastic’s The Magic School Bus(c) are ready to take off for another adventure. The City of San Diego Water Department, in partnership with the San Diego Natural History Museum, is pleased to announce that Ms. Frizzle is back, this time teaching children the important role water plays in our lives and how to use it wisely.

“It’s great to have children excited and thirsty for knowledge. Water is one of southern California’s most precious resources, and we want to make learning about it fun,” said Jim Stone, Deputy Director of Education for the San Diego Natural History Museum.

This interactive show delves into the “World of Water,” revealing amazing facts about the water cycle that will captivate and intrigue youthful minds. Join Ms. Frizzle on the first and third Sundays of every month for shows at 11:45 am, 12:45 pm, and 1:45 pm. Admission for members’ children ages 3-10 is $1, non-members’ children is $2, and parents and siblings younger than 3 or older than 10 are free. This fee is in addition to general Museum admission.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Museum on such a fun and educational experience for children. Our goal is to make a positive impact on the community by motivating families to use water wisely, and with the help of Ms. Frizzle, we are able to do that,” notes Luis Generoso, Water Resources Manager for the City of San Diego Water Department.
